  1. Opinions Issue 3 (c) 1992 Linton Dawe

  3. This is the third issue of the Opinions disc
  4. magazine produced by Linton Dawe.  It contains
  5. loads of features including reviews, public domain
  6. pages, general information and information on the
  7. latest releases etc. from Liquid Data Software.
  8.  
  9. To start the magazine disc, just double click on
  10. !Opinions3.  This will bring up a filer window
  11. conatining 4 applications - !Colour!, !LDInfo!,
  12. !TheMag! and !ThePD!.  !LDInfo! contains
  13. infomation from Liquid Data Software, !TheMag! is
  14. the main magazine, !Colour! contains some pretty
  15. graphics screens and !ThePD! contains some of the
  16. public domain software mentioned in the P.D.
  17. pages.

  19. To read the main magazine double click on the
  20. !TheMag! icon in the filer window to load the main
  21. program.  After loading, a contents page will be
  22. displayed and you should click on the icon for the
  23. section that interests you (any button).  The
  24. screen will fade out and after a short wait the
  25. first page of your selected section will be
  26. displayed.  Clicking on Next Page will take you to
  27. the next page in the magazine (even if it takes
  28. you into the next section) and clicking on
  29. Opinions Contents Page returns you to the contents
  30. page.  Once again, any mouse button is allowed.
  31. When you have finished, press Escape to quit the
  32. Opinions text reader.

  34. The !LDInfo! application is a scrolling display.
  35. Just click on the !LDInfo! icon in the filer
  36. window and sit back and read!

  38. Clicking on !ThePD! brings up a filer window
  39. containing the software itself.  Most of the
  40. software in this section has it's own !Help files
  41. and is fairly self explanatory to use with some
  42. knowledge of RISC OS and common sense.

  44. Click on !Colour! to view the colour graphics
  45. screens and press escape when you have finished.
  46.  
  47. Further issues of Opinions are planned for the
  48. near future and I would welcome any articles by
  49. readers for publication in a later issue.  See the
  50. magazine for details.

  52. If you have a particularly badly stocked or
  53. expensive source of P.D. and you wish to obtain
  54. future issues of Opinions or any of the P.D.
  55. software mentioned in the Public Domain pages but
  56. not included in !ThePD! directly from me, you can
  57. do so by sending a blank disc and a £1 coin to
  58. cover costs, but this should not prove too much of
  59. a problem to most readers.  If this disc cost you
  60. seriously more than about £2 then I would recomend
  61. that you find another P.D. library - it is usually
  62. possible to obtain software for around £1.50 or
  63. less per disc.
